Jetconnect v.s. JetConnect

The name of this article should have been Jetconnect (as opposed to JetConnect with a capital C). I have been unable to change the name since Wikipedia will only accept a name change if the spelling changes -- in other word Wikipedia will not accept changes in capitialisation!

Edvidence for the spelling 'Jetconnect' (and not 'JetConnect') are as follows:-

1. When you a dummy booking of a Jetconnect flight on Qantas's website you can click the flight number to bring up the flight details. For any flight operated by Jetconnect, there will be a note that the flight is (to directly quote the website) "Operated by Jetconnect".
2. The company has a recruitment page which uses the Jetconnect capitalisation. On that page you can also see the Jetconnect logo which is typed with all lower-case (i.e. 'jetconnect').
3. Qantas has a Fact File which uses the spelling Jetconnect on page 5. The JetConnect spelling does not appear at all in this file.
4. The AviationPage NZ website has a page about Jetconnect which uses the Jetconnect spelling. The Jetconnect logo can be seen on this page as well.
5. It may be relevant to look at Qantas' other subsidaries -- for example Jetstar. As we can see even though 'Jetstar' and 'Jetconnect' are both made up of two words combinded, they are both capitalised as though they were one word.

SYD-ZQN (Sydney-Queenstown) Flights

I have removed the reference to SYD-ZQN flights as I do not believe they are operated by Jetconnect. Doing a dummy booking on Qantas' website for Wed 5 May 2010 shows that these flights are operated by Qantas 737-800s. Having said that, it is worth keeping in mind that sometimes Qantas puts Jetconnect flights up as being operated by Qantas when it's in fact operated by Jetconnect. However the flights follow a SYD-ZQN-SYD rotation which indicates that the aircraft doing the service is based in Sydney anyway -- which strongly suggests that it is operated by Qantas. I just had a look at an ACARS log for SYD, and all of the logged flights for QF121/QF122 have been mainline 737-800s, and none of the Jetconnect aircraft are logged on SYD-ZQN or vice versa. Not proof positive, but good enough I reckon. YSSYguy (talk) 10:27, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
