Christmas carol? edit
Why is this known as a Christmas carol? The text says nothing about Christmas or the Nativity or anything. It's just a general hymn of solace in and love for Jesus. - It has been sang by the choir of King's College, Cambridge who are known for singing Christmas carols. Vorbee (talk) 20:01, 13 August 2019 (UTC)
- There is nothing in the song that associates it with the nativity or Christmas. I'll speculated that it may be an association with the Cherry-Tree Carol in that they are both hymns with trees in them. An investigation into why it is was first treated as a Christmas carol would be a good addition to the article. Walter Görlitz (talk) 20:17, 13 August 2019 (UTC)
