Apostrophes edit

I've reverted a good faith edit changing the possessive of Voorhis from Voorhis' to Voorhis's. While either is a defensible practice, based on [1], since Voorhissis would be awkward to pronounce, I think the better practice is " Voorhis' ". Feel free to comment.--Wehwalt (talk) 03:25, 9 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Voorhis school founding in TOC edit

Both I and Mattisse have removed attempts to have a heading "Voorhis School founded". Leaving it in would result in a two paragraph section (by far the shortest in the article) only one paragraph of which is about the school. We have no pictures of the school (I tried to make arrangements with the Buddhist group that now occupies the campus to come and take photos of the original buildings, but they were not receptive) and only a small amount to say about the school. The section header is not worth including. Please do not add it without discussing it here first and gaining consensus.--Wehwalt (talk) 20:23, 6 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Books by Voorhis edit

Bravo on the hard work that has been put to write this article. I have a query on the placement of the "Books by Jerry Voorhis" section. According to WP:FOOTERS, the list of works by the subject should come immediately before the See also and References. If this is correct, shouldn't the Books by Jerry Voorhis be moved up? If this has been already raised before, I apologize. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 23:11, 13 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

No, it has not. Please feel free to do it. Thank you for the praise. It was a bit of a sideline of my Nixon project, but I got interested.--Wehwalt (talk) 09:45, 14 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
You are welcome. I made the change and left an edit summary. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 18:59, 14 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
