Clearly lacking neutrality and the article contains a lot of offensive language, such as:

"The Indian bands had raided settlements all along this area killing many innocent women and children in a bestial way."

"A group of eleven Indians, composed of two Cherokees, three Shawnees, three Wyandots, and three Delawares stormed the cabin. This was common place on the frontier, and would result in retaliatory attacks on Indian villages, as the savagery would shock even veteran soldiers." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Galileo2000 (talkcontribs) 15:41, 18 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Sources??

edit

There are a lot of sources at the bottom of the page, but it sure sounds selectively word for word from Caudill’s novel.Rich (talk) 03:58, 15 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
