Link to French article is about a different Jean Pain

Unfortunately the link to the French article at this point in time, is to a different Jean Pain. I have left a message on the French Wikipedia article Jean Pain, encouraging them to create another Jean Pain entry. Hopefully the French can find more information in this remarkable innovator! An Appropedia talk page is not a reliable source:

Some skepticism has been leveled at the quantities of methane Pain was able to extract from his system,<ref>[http://www.appropedia.org/Talk:Jean_Pain_system Talk page on the Appropedia project: Jean Pain System]</ref> and it is not known if anyone has been able to reproduce this quantity of the same system.

I'm involved with Appropedia and happy to see links to it, but at the same time, don't want inappropriate links. I'll let someone else decide how to deal with that paragraph. The skepticism could well inform an editor, but such a source shouldn't actually be included - not sure of the best approach. --Chriswaterguy talk 10:49, 30 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi Chriswaterguy.. a classic example for the deletionist vs inclusionist debate on Wikipedia hey. I see the rules of citation as guidelines for developing a good article. The first editor does what they can, then another comes along and, like you, sees an opportunity for improvement, and either notes it here in Talk, or goes out to find a way to improve the article without necessary losing the information - especially if its possibly significant information to the article, such as this example.

I'm writing up my own work in this project as an academic paper these coming months. See the Wikiversity page: Networked learning a biomass heat transfer system. My intention is to review the data, such as your suggestion here, and the various other suggestions I received for the videos I put on Youtube for my own attempts to build a Jean Pain composting hot water system, etc, and compare the learning outcomes across that sort of discourse, as well as with the learning outcomes from the advice and interactions I sought from the local university.
