Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan, have acted in many a films together. With Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum, after a 20 year gap, the husband-wife pair returned to the silver screen creating a media frenzy like none other. Many of the movies they have acted together supposedly reflect their real life stories -- in Abhimaan, Amitabh portrays a jealous husband of a more successful artist; in Silsila, Amitabh has an extra marital affair with a woman played by Indian actress Rekha (with whom he supposedly also had an affair in real life) while being married to Jaya.
- i removed this info because i'm not sure how it really fits into the article, and i didnt want it getting lost in the history. if someone can figure out how it fits, and if they are sure that it belongs in the article, they can add it back in some modified form.
Birthplace
How is it possible for someone to be born in "Jabalpur/Kolkota"?? What does that even mean? Obviously she must have been born in one place or the other, considering the large distance between the two cities.
The IMDb page says that she was born in Kolkota, so I'm going to remove the "Jabalpur/." If anyone has any objections, please discuss them on this page. --Kuaichik 04:39, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Name in Bengali Font
Could someone add her name in Bengali font. I don't see the relevance of her name in Hindi and Urdu fonts. She is Bengali so her name should be spelled in Bengali font. Arnabdas (talk) 20:15, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Is this line important?
Somewhere under the section "career", it (correctly) says that she played a "negative character of the heroine faking amnesia, in Anamika (1973)," Since this reveals a vital plot information on which the film is based, it may ruin the whole film for future viewers who visit this page. So, I request someone to delete it or change the word "faking" to "suffering" (which may be technically incorrect) or rewrite the whole sentence without disclosing spoilers from the film.
