ANOMALY ABOUT INFORMATION REGARDING THE THREE CONSTITUENTS OF THE J N T U : When the very name had originated only in the year 1972 by the Special JNTU Act, it would rather be inappropriate to refer to them as JNTUA (from 1946/1948), JNTUK (from 1946) and JNTUH (from 1965). They were founded as Government Engineering Colleges affiliated to different universities of the respective regions from time to time. The Special JNTU Act of 02nd October, 1972 had facilitated to provide and allot the three constituents at Anantapur, Kakinada and Hyderabad to the three regions Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra and Telangana, respectively. --Errachhema (talk) 10:47, 21 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Further, it is mentioned under "Notable Alumni" the name of S.P. Balasubrahmanyam. He must have been a student at Anantapur in the mid "60s: but, there was no " JNTUA " at all, ' at that time.' This will tantamount to saying that Karl Marx (1818 - 1883) " belonged " to ' West Germany, ' which did NOT exist then as such. 11:16, 21 August 2020 (UTC)Errachhema (talk). During the period from 1955 to 1972, the Government Engineering College at Anantapur was affiliated to Sri Venkateswara University (Tirupati), making SPB to be NOT an alumnus of JNTUA.124.123.189.231 (talk) 11:38, 21 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

In view of the foregoing, it would be incorrect to say that the JNTUA was "founded" or "established" in 1946 as mentioned in the first paragraph of the Article and in the Template respectively. I sincerely feel that this calls for a revision of the same. Errachhema (talk) 10:41, 22 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

COMMENT : The account reported in the Official website of JNTUA in the External Links of the Article, however, correctly described the origin and history of the College / University. Errachhema (talk) 15:36, 23 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
