Sales brochure?

edit

This page appears to be a sales brochure for Tine Meierier. But it appears to have gotten that way through the good faith efforts of people unaffiliated with Tine. I'm not sure what the appropriate revision should be. Can we at least get rid of the list of flavors of Jarlsberg that Tine produces? Also, I'd love to see some sourcing on the assertion that Jarlsberg Estate had nothing to do with Jarlberg cheese (added on October 4, 2004 by 132.150.226.67). Also it'd be nice to source the assertion that Jarlsberg in the #1 US import cheese. -- Galexander 01:46, 30 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

I agree that the assertion that Jarlsberg Estate had nothing to do with the production of Jarlsberg is debatable--and probably false. Tine, on their various pages about Norwegian cheese, state specifically that the cheese was first produced on the Jarlsberg Estate in 1815. They have no reason to mislead on this point. "Another misconception is that this cheese is pronounced as it is spelt with a 'J' at the front, but it is actually pronounced "YAHRLZ-berg". - Well, this isn't accurate. It is actually pronounced just the way it is written. Only that in Norwegian we don't say "dj" when we mean "j". If it wasn't pronounced with a 'j' at the the front, it wouldn't be "YAHRLZ-berg", but "ARHLZ-berg". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.116.68.225 (talk) 22:06, 6 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
