Isn't it a shameless add? (anonymous poster)

Probably you meant "ad", not "add"? No, it is not an "ad" and not shameless.

The company has developed patent-pending technology for mobile software. It was used to develop and deploy an application that won a 2004 Computerworld award for innovation. The architecture (which is described on the company web site) invented a new approach to a "rich-client" or "smart-client" mobile application platform that increases the intellectual content available on this subject. So it is more than just an ad for yet another "me-too" application developer.

The article is written according to the guidelines in WP:NOT#SOAP, i.e. "Articles about companies and products are acceptable if they are written in an objective and unbiased style." So it is not shameless, but is written as a neutral description of a notable company and its products.
