I started this article. I believe in good faith that I comply with the conflict of interest guide. Transparency and full disclosure: I am an officer in a local JALT chapter, and I have been a member of JALT for many years. JALT is an NPO (non-profit organization) recognized by the Japanese government, and I am not an owner nor a paid employee of JALT, and I receive no compensation for this article nor for any other aspect of my involvement in JALT.
