Frailty & deadAir edit

Frailty was initially self-released by Jane, only later was the album re-released through deadAir Imagination deprivation (talk) 15:20, 27 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Was it? https://x.com/deadAirrecords/status/1458856531865313285?s=20
DeadAir went public on the release of Frailty, and posted about it even before it actually went live. Although on a smaller scale, it looks like DeadAir was there from the beginning. Let me know. Saintfuki (talk) 01:54, 20 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yall I apologize, I completely mixed up this album with drive-by lullabies by quinn - that was the album that was later re-released through deadAir. Frailty was released initially through deadAir, I apologize for being wrong! Imagination deprivation (talk) 01:13, 15 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Should this be redirected to Draft:Jane Remover? edit

name edit

Considering that their two latest singles (Royal Blue Walls and Contingency Song) have writing credits to "Jane Liars", I think we should be considering that their real name (as opposed to their stage name, Jane Remover). The title ofc can still be Jane Remover, but rather than using "Jane" to refer to them, it should be "Liars".

I'm working on cleaning this page up and adding more stuff / references, but I just wanted to get that bit of info out there first. Twizzlestorm (talk) 02:09, 17 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Ignore this, actually. From her RYM page's metacomments where people got in contact with her directly:
"so 4 the akas some r unnecessary (just my first name, dltzk Spelled Out, Jamie) & jane liars is not my name its Jane Remover that is my name. im fine w dltzk being an fka but i would consider all of my releases Jane Remover ."
That opens up the discussion about whether or not "Remover" should be how they're referred to, but "Liars" should be avoided. Twizzlestorm (talk) 17:05, 17 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

college edit

she's not in college anymore either, i'll try my best to find an archived source but 2 days ago she did a q&a on instagram and said she's not anymore and is grateful that she isn't Saintfuki (talk) 06:34, 8 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

pronouns edit

I get Wikipedia has that annoying only use one pronoun set "for consistency" rule but if we have to pick one to refer to jane as it makes more sense to chose they/them because they use they/she pronouns. and people typicly put their favorite pronoun first. Afroswordguy (talk) 09:15, 26 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Is there any evidence that "they" take priority for her? I think saying she lists that first as justification is a bit of a presumption. — Czello (music) 10:10, 26 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
I guessing you aren’t trans so it makes sense you didn’t know this but when people list their pronouns as “they/she or “they/he” as opposed to “she/they” or “he/they” it almost always means they have a preference for they/them.[1]https://www.reddit.com/r/asktransgender/comments/t0r3tp/theyshe_and_shethey_is_the_first_pronoun_the/ This is just a convention in trans community there’s no real source I can cite other than a Reddit post discussing it and my first hand experience with interacting with trans people. Like, Jane saying their pronouns are they/she literally does imply a preference for they/them that’s just how the practice of listening pronouns evolved. Afroswordgal (talk) 07:32, 18 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
this isn't true at all and can really only be backed up using anecdotes from either side of the argument. a lot of people don't mind either or, but some people use they to shield from potential backlash when it comes to using the "direct opposite gender pronoun". source: i;m a trans woman and i used they for so long even though i wanted to be called her.
that being said, jane has also removed "they" from her pronouns on both instagram as well as twitter. they're located in her instagram bio as well as the "location" section on her twitter as just "she" Saintfuki (talk) 01:48, 17 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

c0ncernn edit

Re: "The most notable of these aliases is Leroy (used interchangeably with "C0ncernn")"

I haven't able to find a truly reputable source for this, but I don't think this is true. Notably, the c0ncernn Spotify account says "FAN UPLOADED / NOT JANE" in the artist bio (https://open.spotify.com/artist/7dGU76bSIWTcybFmovtjcz), and the account's already been taken down a couple times in the past- idk how it keeps getting past Spotify and going back up, unless the bio can be explained by like Jane wanting to distance themselves from the alias or something. It's also been alleged that the bandcamp account is fake, which seems pretty likely for various reasons.

Would appreciate a more experienced editor who has a good grasp on what kind of sources are permissible to look into this. 66.214.68.49 (talk) 18:26, 3 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Jane originally uploaded the dariacore albums under "c0ncernn" on streaming and "leroy" on bandcamp/soundcloud. The dariacore albums were taken off a few months ago both from streaming and bandcamp. The current "c0ncernn" isn't the same as the previous one as it is not official. The current bandcamp up is also fake. The "c0ncernn" alias was never mentioned in sources, so I wouldn't be against removing it, but Jane definitely used it in the past officially. — PerfectSoundWhatever (t; c) 18:46, 3 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Ah ok, thanks for clearing that up 66.214.68.49 (talk) 05:13, 4 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Questioning an Alias edit

I understand adding things like dltzk and high zoey for past aliases. Venturing, Leroy and Jamison Bleached Waters for side projects that have been recent and somewhat prominent online. And I guess she does still DJ as DJ Coolgirl 9 from time to time (although rare now but I guess there's a case to be made for it.)? But LilNedBigby really does seem unnecessary. A side project that lasted 11 months and isn't really known unless you're looking for "Jane Remover lore". I say it doesn't need to be there but it'd be interesting to hear an argument for it.
