Janas? edit
It seems like someone took the word jana and appended an s to pluralise it, but I don't know Sanskrit so I am not sure whether this is actually the case. --Joshua Issac (talk) 20:37, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
- I know some basic Sanskrit.
- the word Jana actually refers to people, it is actually written janaH. Pada has multiple meanings, the primary of them referring to foot.It could also refer to a site or abode or home.So janapada translated correctly would mean "people's abode".
