Although I love Jan Brett's work, I thought the article read too much like a laudatory press release. Accordingly, I've deleted statements about how beloved she is, etc. Not sure the long list of awards should be included here, either. MaterTerribilis (talk) 04:50, 14 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Four years later I deleted that "long list of awards". Recently it has been section 1 "Awards and Best Seller Lists". Its UPPERCASE TITLES suggest copy-and-paste from somewhere. It comprises primarily and secondarily appearances on best seller lists and year's-best booklists, barely any genuine awards.

Presumably that long list has disguised that this article is a stub. I added two WP:STUB tags, among others.

Re-linking to deleted photo

Since there was no reason listed here or in the history for deleting the close-up photo of Jan Brett at a 2003 book-signing, I have re-linked to it. Estreya (talk) 16:49, 12 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

(background artwork)

The artwork in the back of this photo is very clearly from "Noah's Ark" (published in 2003 I believe). The caption points out the artwork but doesn't mention which book it is from. Scholastic Teachers gives Hingham, Massachusetts.

According to janbrett.com/biography, "Jan lives in a seacoast town in Massachusetts, close to where she grew up."
