1. Well-written:
1a. the prose is clear, concise, and understandable to an appropriately broad audience; spelling and grammar are correct. I helped copyedit this article in preparation for this GA review.
1b. it complies with the Manual of Style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation. The layout is excellent and the lead section summarises the most important parts of the article.
2. Verifiable with no original research:
2a. it contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline.
2b. reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose). Please note: I assume good faith for sources I am unable to read, however for transparency I make a note when I cannot verify the sources.

It came to be known as the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, and is currently a political party in Pakistan", but the source Century not out, Jamiat still bats for an India with a composite culture does not support this text.

Discussion edit

I am currently in the middle of a copyedit with the help of the nominator. Once this is done, I’ll run the rest of the GA review. - Aussie Article Writer (talk) 17:33, 22 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Copyedit is done now, so I am starting the actual review. - Aussie Article Writer (talk) 18:37, 24 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

TheAafi I am slowly going through the references. This might take a bit of time. Thank you for your patience. Just respond under my point in the table if you fix the issue or have a comment. - Aussie Article Writer (talk) 00:04, 25 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

TheAafi can you help with the referencing? - Aussie Article Writer (talk) 04:02, 25 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Aussie Article Writer, I've fixed some. I guess I recently rephrased the quotations but forgot the quotation marks. The al-Jazeera source you mentioned above does say Masood Zaman, a spokesperson of the legal cell of the Jamiat Ulama, and perhaps this is why I used it in the article. I've fixed most of the references and just checking few others. ─ The Aafī (talk) 04:06, 25 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Aussie Article Writer, Both source-issues in the "Governance" and "Partition" section have been fixed. Quote in the Legal cell section is also fixed. All the Urdu titles have been given a translation. The citations have been [expanded/corrected]] wherever it was missing. However, I must note that the book "Ulama-e-Haq ke Mujāhidana Kārname" doesn't have the [year/edition] written on it. I hope to get its another version that is edited by Abu Salman Shahjahanpuri; currently "expanded the complete details in the citation template". ─ The Aafī (talk) 04:35, 25 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
I've also removed the Al-Jazeera source as I thought it wasn't much helpful and the other two citations over there nicely supported the fact. AFAICS, I've addressed:
  • Inception and development, Governance, Independence movement, Partition of India, Split into JUH-A and JUH-M, Centenary, Idara Mabahith-e-Fiqhiyyah and Administration; and also fixed the required things in the Legal cell section.  YThe Aafī (talk) 08:36, 25 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
The quote "In India, almost every day you can hear about an incident where the innocent have been picked up and locked up in jail on various charges. Their families spend their life’s savings and even have to sell their assets, homes in the legal battle to prove the innocence of their kin." from this source looked weird to me in the article, and I removed the quotation marks and used the statement in a paraphrase, that you had copyedited earlier. ─ The Aafī (talk) 09:45, 25 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

TheAafi I don’t think the translation got added in this edit. - Aussie Article Writer (talk) 13:11, 25 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Aussie Article Writer, Please check out the bibliography section. ─ The Aafī (talk) 13:12, 25 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
I've added both of the editions there, so that the book is easily identified and added translation with the one that I've used. It is just below the one edited by Shahjahanpuri. ─ The Aafī (talk) 13:14, 25 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Ah, I see! - Aussie Article Writer (talk) 13:20, 25 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
