Wilson porno

edit

The article says that Wilson was in a porno, but that isn't what happened. Wilson was in a short film to help his room mate get a class grade. His room mate later became a porn director and added sex scenes to the short film Wilson was in. I'd edit the article myself, but the articles are normally written really well and I dunno how to reword it. The paragraph as it stands says "In Season 6, Episode 15, "Private Lives", House discovers that Wilson, in his youth, had been an actor in a porno flick titled "Feral Pleasures". "

Ambiguous statement

edit

The last sentence of the second paragraph under the heading "relationships" is ambiguous. It does not give a true indication of who is able to make who laugh.

Affair

edit

It very learly says in one episode that Wilson met his second wife via cheating on his first.

Page title

edit

I think the title of this page really ought to be "James Wilson (television character)", or something of the sort. Anyone have any thoughts? -Digresser 07:59, 12 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

The title might work either way. When I first created the article, I used "Dr." because the name was printed in that manner under the full House M.D. article. However, it would be just as simple to do as you suggest. Whatever seems most logical to others. -Badawi Badr

Probably should have it be entitled "James Wilson (television character)" Because there was a revolutionary named James Wilson. -Diabolos

Is the comment that House doesn't seem to take their friendship too seriously consistent with NPOV? This is a possibility, but it seems to be more a matter of opinion. Juansmith 05:25, 3 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Do we need to state which episodes are spoiled if the episodes are listed in the paragraphs? -Diabolos

Should information about Wilson's family be included here? Doesn't he have a missing brother? I can't remember which episode, but I remember House coming to Wilson late one night outside and a discussion of Wilson's missing brother follows. -- Shelliangel

Cancer?

edit

There's a diff that's a little suspect to me, although I know nothing about the subject.... Anyone know anything about this? Suede 15:31, 20 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

It's just vandalism done by a person who vandalised other House pages. Ignore it. -Diabolos 17:38, 20 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Trivia

edit

I'm pretty sure that both House and Cuddy are also seen crying in the third season. --DonES 16:52, 17 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

hehe, oops, I made a typo. It should say "Wilson is the only one who has NOT yet to be seen crying." You are correct. House was seen crying in "No Reason". Cuddy was seen in "Meaning". Foreman in "Euphoria". Chase in "The Mistake". And Cameron... Well... What episode has she not cried in. SousaFan88 01:56, 22 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

It is an interesting fact about Wilson's character and I think that it should stay. -Diabolos 00:52, 17 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Trivia

edit

How the hell is him having a name of one of the founding fathers trivia?

Initials = J.E.W.

edit

I have removed of the following (from the trivia section):

  • It is interesting to note that his initials are J.E.W. and he also happens to be Jewish. An inside joke on the writers part??

which was added by 70.19.59.134, because it doesn't seem too encyclopaedic. Maybe one should touch it up, and add it in? - Qwerty (talk) 07:50, 21 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Does anyone know what the "E" middle initial stands for? 2stepMW 13:50, 9 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Socks?

edit

There are a helluva lot of things wrong with this article (NPOV, anyone?), but I just keep going back to one section wherein something or other is being said about Wilson's affair; House figuring Wilson's affair out with the clever use of mismatched socks, and, for some reason, socks is linked [to its article]. Why? What is the purpose of that? Why not link 'affair', or 'mismatched,' or, for all I know, 'the'? --76.110.70.232 20:53, 13 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

        - What if someone doesn't know what socks are?
If the reader doesn't know what socks are, he/she probably doesn't speak English anyway. mirageinred 04:01, 8 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Catherine is Wilson's first wife?

Is there a source for this? mirageinred 15:19, 7 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

"I love you" line from "97 Seconds" (S4e3, Spoiler)

edit

I've removed claims that House is in love with Wilson based on his "I love you" line. It's more than likely that House was deadpanning considering the line's context: it was said right after Wilson stated that he was going to increase House's pain medication. Kufat 00:27, 11 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

There's a lot of debate right now about that line. Yes, he said it after Wilson upped his meds, but there have been disagreements about whether or not he was sincere. He had just returned from "the dead" where he presumbably saw for good that there was no afterlife. I think it should be mentioned in the article, but not held up as proof that House has any kind of romantic feeling for him yet. BethEnd 17:48, 11 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I agree with BethEnd that it should be mentioned, and possibly some other overt scenes could be mentioned too; Simply saying "gay references have been made" seems a little brusque to me. Along those lines, I also think that the note about the gender ambiguity of the "someone" mentioned in the third biography paragraph should be restored. Miscellanium 01:55, 4 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please feel free to add it back. mirageinred 04:22, 4 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Season 5

edit

According to [1], Wilson and House's relationship won't be the same again due to what happened in Wilson's Heart. Should this be added in here and onto Gregory House and House (TV series)? Deamon138 (talk) 00:25, 7 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

We could, but isn't it somewhat crystal-balling? Plus, it's a pretty vague assertion. It could mean something or it could mean nothing. But, I suppose there's no harm in adding it. --Hnsampat (talk) 01:00, 7 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
I dunno, you could be right. Still, it came from Executive Producer Katie Jacobs, so it seems fairly reliable. Unless of course that is how she wants the show to proceed, but hasn't discussed it with the rest of the show's writer/producers etc. Deamon138 (talk) 01:08, 7 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Spouses

edit

Surely Amber, as his girlfriend, never constituted a spouse (which is a husband or wife). Can we remove her from the spouse section in his info box? Deamon138 (talk) 19:52, 29 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Depression

edit

"In a late season three episode it is revealed that Wilson suffers from clinical depression and uses a prescription for his illness." - I thought it was clear by the end of that episode that Wilson was NOT taking anti-depressants regularly, he was only on them because he dosed his own coffee to ensure that House would take them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.124.113.60 (talk) 00:20, 9 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Jew comment in first line

edit

Thew addition of the fact that his initials spell JEW is pointless and irrelevant. It does not belong in the first line. The fact that his character is Jewish and his initials are JEW is likely attributable to random chance. I don't see any reason to believe the writers consciously did this unless someone has a reference showing that they did intend this. Thegreyanomaly (talk) 06:42, 10 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

More House Timeline Inconsistencies

edit

In the season six episode Lockdown, Wilson mentions to Remy about how he's in contact with this first wife, who during 1990-91 went by the name Samantha Wilson. In the very next episode Samantha tells House that most of the mistakes in their marriage were her fault and that they married young, but that was "nearly a decade ago" (e.g. circa 2000). This would have meant they married around the age of thirty, which isn't a young age to be getting married and circa 2000 is 10 years after 1990-91. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.78.51.0 (talk) 08:15, 5 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
