Excellent article. I have several comments:

Lead

  • He again reported sick in July, and didn't return Remove contraction

World War I

  • The last 2 paragraphs in 1916-1917 are not really related to Woods - who is only mentioned once - and read like a battalion history, suggest trimming
  • few casualties from enemy artillery fire Change to 'German' for NPOV

Later life

  • Married on 30 April 1921 to Olive Adeline Wilson, the couple had six children, three sons and three daughters. Rephrase this sentence to mention Woods because if you mention his wife's name, the sentence seems incomplete.
  • There are several other photographs of Woods in PD on the AWM site. [1] Suggest you add some of them to enhance the article, since only two images are currently contained, and one of them is the VC.

That's all I have. Thanks, Kges1901 (talk) 21:30, 22 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the review! I've made those changes, except for trimming the battalion movements. The way I see it, Woods did what the battalion did, so it is still about Woods. I've had questions in the past about what a subject was doing during lulls in the fighting, so I tend to use the battalion history to fill in those gaps. Added a 1938 image of VC recipients and an iconic Hurley pic from the First Battle of Passchendaele. Cheers, Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 03:09, 23 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
