Norwegian Comedy Show Incident

edit

Two problems with the new video. First, this isn't the video that "got the attention" it's not the video that appeared on 4 Oct on youtube. And second, it's not the "full interview" -- that's the title on youtube but who cares what youtube says, you can see it's cut and edited, various politicians are shown etc. The "full interview" would be some uncut footage. The politican later said they talked about 15 minutes or so, it's misrepreprenting to say this is the "full interview." Maybe it's the "longer version." It's informative, and maybe it should be in there somewhere or in the "for further reading" section.SecretaryNotSure 15:18, 12 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

The poster at Youtube means "Full interview" with clip of the whole reportage with all politicians as shown at Rikets Røst. What other politician answered, is not relevant here in Mr. Oddo's profile. It exists shorter versions at Youtube with Mr. Oddo only. 80.203.130.53 16:46, 12 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, thats why I labeled it differently than "youtube" did. The issue is that Oddo said that the interview (with him) was longer, and that the other "bad behavior" of the TV crew was edited out. That's what I'm getting at when I say with relation to Oddo, it's not the "full" interview with him, it's the "full TV show" as it was broadcast (I presume, but who knows) edited by the Norwegian TV show people.

By the way, I re-thought the thing with naming the show and the interviewer and figured it's probably part of the story. Sorry about that. Except for that part about the glowing praise for host of the show and characterizing the show. The problem is when one detail is added, a dozen more details have to be added to make it "fair" and pretty soon you have a gigantic article filled with tortured language. It would probably be better to cut some of the details because they give "undue weight" to this incident. (The biography of this person reads like he was born and did nothing till, for some odd reason, he started yelling at some people on October 5 2007)SecretaryNotSure 17:31, 12 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yes, the youtube video is badly named. It is, as far as I know (didnt watch it, I dont watch that show) the full reportage, I dont think the two extra minutes hurts the thre minutes shown interview. I am aware the entire interview is much longer, that is how tv works: you shoot some raw footage, and cuts the best parts together. But I reckon there is some discussions here in Norway now how succesfull miss Haraldsens Ali G/Borat stunt was. Anyway, I inserted the other video back as a reference.--AndersL 18:22, 12 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Beyond adding another reference, I made a couple of changes, the most important of which, perhaps, was that I took away the "hidden camera" part; it is not a hidden camera filming at the end (if anyone is interested), it is the regular camera that was on JO's (seated) face that simply continued shooting unabated as he stands up in his anger.
