Talk:James Morrison (mutineer)

The story of Morrison's journal edit

At Find-A-Grave, there's a rather interesting story [1] about how Morrison wrote an account of his experiences and arranged to have them published posthumously - and that this, rather than any reasonable clemency, was the reason for his pardon: He was set free on condition that he should not talk about his experiences. If that can be verified with WP:RS, it should be included. --Alvestrand (talk) 07:31, 24 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Needs additional/less subjective source citations edit

When this is expanded beyond a stub, I would like to see sources cited beyond Caroline Alexander's book, which seems to be subjective (she describes Morrison's attitude toward what he is saying, e.g., "he said bluntly," "he noted with satisfaction," which of course she could not know, portraying Morrison in a negative light which the facts and quotations alone do not do.
