Not Enough Links? edit

This article is flagged as not having enough links but it is already linked to four other relevant articles. How many more do you need? Dan Conlin (talk) 01:40, 24 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Probably sufficient though the article itself may need some work. By my count there are multiple James Morans in the family. James Moran (1782-1856), James Hamilton Moran (1816?-1879) his son. And also at least two Robert Greer Morans the first (1805?-1879) the brother of the first James Moran was the Master Mariner and the second (1813?-1904) the brother of James Hamilton Moran, worked out of Liverpool, England and was apparently head of the firm Moran, Galloway & Co.. The second Robert Greer Moran btw married Sarah Ann Dickson daughter of John Dickson of Onslow, Nova Scotia who, I think, was a son of Charles Dickson; their daughter, Alice, married George Edward Bowring grandson of Benjamin Bowring of Newfoundland and involved in the Bowring shipping business. Family and business and politics seem to have been closely interrelated in the Maritime provinces. --Erp (talk) 02:01, 29 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

What was the other leading shipbuilding family? edit

The question is naturally raised by the statement. A reference for this would be nice as well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Brown131 (talkcontribs) 16:31, 29 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

I would guess David Vaughan and his family --Erp (talk) 03:45, 15 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
