Having just re-read all four Munro thrillers, I agree with the article's anonymous author that they are "well-written" and "well-plotted". My only disagreement is with the description of Loomis, Department K's boss, as resembling M. M is a cold fish of course. What spy chief isn't? But Loomis is downright nasty.
