Toronto City Council Appointees edit

Every term there are one or two Toronto City Council appointees to fill the spot for someone who has left for another job. These people are not elected and generally are not very notable otherwise. I don't think they really rate individual articles. I suggest that these people be merged into one article called tentatively "Toronto Appointed Councillors" or some such title. I am putting this notice here as a starting point for discussion but it applies to other people such as Peter Leon, Ceta Ramkhalawansingh, Fred Dominelli, to name a few. Strictly speaking, Wikipedia makes no notability distinction between an "interim X" and a "permanent X". If a political office falls into the class of topics where we consider all holders of that office to be automatically notable per WP:NPOL, then we care not a whit whether any individual member of that group held the role by general election or by interim appointment. Just as an example, Mo Cowan held a seat in the United States Senate for several months purely as a temporary appointment between the resignation of his predecessor and the general election of his successor, and wouldn't qualify for a Wikipedia article for any other reason independently of that fact — but he still qualifies for a Wikipedia article on the grounds of having held a notable office, regardless of the circumstances of how he got into office. But any quibbles or disagreement about that are now a moot point, at any rate, as Maloney jumped an NPOL class on October 19 of this year by virtue of now being an elected federal Member of Parliament.
