Halls of residence at the University College London edit

Given that it seems to content is duplicated there, shouldn't this and Ramsay Hall be redirected to Halls of residence at the University College London?--Yaksar (let's chat) 03:46, 29 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose redirect: The idea of a redirect was raised in this discussion, but the consensus was to keep as its own article. Onthegogo (talk) 16:20, 29 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
No, that was a discussion that concluded this should not be deleted, it in no way is a consensus not to redirect this to an article that duplicates the exact same info while encompassing more. Do you have a different reason to oppose this?--Yaksar (let's chat) 16:24, 29 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose redirect - Two editors who have both been persistently attempting to get this article deleted are now attempting to achieve their goal via other means. This article is of an independent notable subject and requires expansion, not redirection. The addition of some photos, for example, is a must. Rangoon11 (talk) 16:30, 29 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
And once again, deletion is not a redirect, especially when it's a redirect to an article with the exact same content.--Yaksar (let's chat) 16:40, 29 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Please, try to be rational, people. First off, AfD results, regardless of what they are, do not prohibit redirection. And even still, nothing at all would be getting deleted here. Yes, subjects need to be notable to have their own article. But all things that are notable do not have to be on their own page. This encyclopedia is about making things best and most efficient for the reader, and having the exact same content duplicated does not do the trick.--Yaksar (let's chat) 20:02, 19 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
