Random mention of Hagerty's name in a single Peanuts comic strip

edit

@Dr Clyde Crashcup: - Please stop reposting your mention of Hagerty's name appearing in a random comic strip without addressing the concerns I raised. As per WP:BRD, you need to discuss this on the talk page first. As I mentioned in my edit summary, this page is about James Hagerty, not the "Peanuts" comic strip. Your factoid does not tell us anything substantive about James Hagerty himself and thus does not belong here. Just because "Peanuts" is a famous comic strip, it does not follow that we need to talk about "Peanuts" on the page of anyone ever mentioned one time in a "Peanuts" comic strip. James Hagerty was the White House Press Secretary for the entire eight years of Eisenhower's presidency and thus was a prominent public figure mentioned in the media thousands of times on a near daily basis. It does not rise to notability that he was merely mentioned by name in some aspect of the media, unless that tells us something substantive about his life and career. Lastly, I'll note that you made no effort to integrate your addition into the existing article, simply dropping your "Peanuts" reference under the "Political career" subheading where it is not at all relevant. Please stop reverting without any changes or discussion, or I'll have to report you for edit warring. --Ash-Gaar (talk) 18:12, 15 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

You're the one "edit-warring", not me. Get a life. Dr Clyde Crashcup (talk) 20:07, 15 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
