Close connection edit

Well, as me the creator does even now Kaler in person (and only know him from a reference in the Theta 1 Orionis page since a few days ago) the commection is not really close. No conflict of interest exists, and frankly, I do not think that POV issues are prevalent. jan JanBarkmann (talk) 15:20, 15 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

References tag edit

I fixed most missing refernces in the Awards, Achievements etc, section. For Kaler's personal data, I could not find an independant source, though. JanBarkmann (talk) 16:27, 15 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Quality Scale edit

I consulted the Biography Protal page on quality ratings and gave it a preliminary START-class rating. Actually, the article is a bit further advanced than a standart Start-class. So I shall go into a more detailed investigation of its state.

C-class definition is (comments indented):

The article is substantial, but is still missing important content or contains a lot of irrelevant material.
There is actually only little irrelevant material but some content is missing. E.g. the publication years of his books.
The article should have some references to reliable sources, but may still have significant issues or require substantial cleanup.
For may data, reliable sources could be provided. However, some details and, above all, for his personal data only his own webpage could be consulted.
The article is better developed in style, structure and quality than Start-Class, but fails one or more of the criteria for B-Class.
Style, structure and quality are above start but below B-class.
It may have some gaps or missing elements; need editing for clarity, balance or flow;
Yes, but only of minor importance if we aim, overall, at a shorter article.
or contain policy violations such as bias or original research.
none of these.

So, I conclude that a C-class rating can be fully justifed.
