Jainism in Pakistan edit

Jainism during the Indus Valley Civilisation has no historical proof. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2607:FEA8:4EE0:3B2:F0BC:8B00:AC9D:5700 (talk) 01:45, 20 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Any Jains in Pakistan? edit

I am not aware of any Jains in Pakistan today. I used to see addresses of some Jain families as subscribers of some Jain magazines, perhaps in the 1960s. I have heard of some remaining Jains leaving Tharparkar region in 1971.

In addition to Tharparkar region, there are abandoned Jain temples in several major cities. Several of them are well preserved, some of them now serve as madrassas or police stations.

There are some Jain images still in active worship by some local tribals. There is a Hindu Maheshwari community in Sindh that may have absorbed any remaining Jains (some Maheshwari clans in India are of Jain origin). Does anyone know about any Jains in Pakistan?
