"Matter and energy were known by Jains to have been interchangeable long before Albert Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity."

- Is it just me, or is this statement somehow biased? --82.139.47.117 10:37, 11 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Even though the statement is true to a large extent, I understand your concern. Statements like this shouldn't be worded in such a way as to promote Jainism, and should be cited. --Qmwne235 23:21, 8 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Reorganisation plan

edit

As this article is in a mess and does not provide accurate version of the Jain cosmology and Jain geography, I suggest a following re-org plan

  1. Jain conception of Universe
    1. The Concept of reality – the constituents of the Universe
    2. Jain Geography (This should be a different article also)
  2. Time Cycle
    1. Description of Aras
    2. Time scales and units of measurements
  3. 63 Salakhapurusa or Illustrious persons

Images and charts

  • Jain universe
  • Maps of Jain geography
  • Time Cycle
  • Units of measurement in time

Jain "geography"?

edit

Is "geography" really the best word? It might be, if they use the same word in the jain texts, but my knowledge lacks here... "Geography" usually refers to the physical Earth or extendedly to physical planets. Maybe instead "universe", "multiverse"? ... said: Rursus (bork²) 09:18, 28 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

this article is very word to word, non logical interpretation and messy — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dejotou (talkcontribs) 01:04, 4 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

I think the appropriate term in this context is cosmology but I'm no english mothertongue. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 176.252.112.106 (talk) 13:19, 22 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
