I have removed the claim that "Jahsh is Joshua in English." Although the two names sound somewhat alike, Joshua is derived from the Hebrew Yeshua, which means something like "Yahweh is salvation". It is unlikely that an Arabic name meaning "mule" has a remotely related root. I suggest this etymological claim not be re-inserted in the article unless evidence from a reliable source can be produced.Grace has Victory (talk) 00:22, 7 July 2013 (UTC)Reply


It seems that Abdu Yahsh and Abd-Allah ben Yahsh are one person. Than one name should be deleted.--109.252.100.132 (talk) 12:06, 25 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
