Major errors in this article edit

I am a direct descendant of Jacob Bassevi von Treuenberg. Where did you find the name Schnules? I never heard of this name and it is not in the Encyclopedia Judiaca, nor is it in any manuscript that I have. Show me the proof or remove this from the name.

I think Wikepedia should be more organised and not everyone and their grandmother should be allowed to write whatever they want with out proof that they are historians.

"Schnules" is from the book "Geschichte Böhmens; Von der slavischen Landnahme bis zur Gegenwart", Jörg K. Hoensch (C. H. Beck) (I bougght at Vienna). --Sheynhertzגעשׁ״ך 03:26, 17 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Bad article, references dubious, details wrong. Gerhard51 21:24, 18 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I assessed this article. A note to all that will see this, know that Wikipedia only succeeds because everyone and their grandmother are allowed to contribute. --Psychless Type words! 19:16, 9 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

I wrote this first entry here and yet again you have made some serious errors regarding my ancestor that must be removed immediately!!!! Firstly. The name Basevi or Bassevi, may have come from Batsheva, but it is and was never the family name. Also, he WAS NEVER formally known as Jacob Schmieles!!!!! That was a derogatory term that referred to the devaluation of the Thaler. People called it Shmieles Thaler. His father's name was NOT Samuel!!!! His father's name was Abraham Basch. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Swisskaese1 (talkcontribs) 11:51, 17 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Anachronisms? edit

This article has a few terms that seem anachronistic to me, most notably the section mentioning "other Jewish capitalists". I get the impression that this article was mostly translated from the German page, and perhaps better words could be used. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jelephant (talkcontribs) 04:49, 13 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
