Talk:Jackie Kannon

Conflict of interest edit

I'm initiating this draft. Through my publishing firm, About Comics, I have reprinted some of Kanrom's books, including items on which Kannon was a writing collaborator.

The sources include two that I am the author of. One of them was written for the respected cartoon arts magazine Hogan's Alley. The other, The AAUGH Blog, is indeed a self-published source. However, I believe I meet the "subject-matter expert" exception to WP:SPS, as I am citing it for a sentence about derivatives of the comic strip Peanuts, and my writing on Peanuts has appeared in various places including American Heritage, and I have written three books on the history of Peanuts, all licensed and approved by the Peanuts rightsholders. --Nat Gertler (talk) 23:06, 24 September 2020 (UTC), expanded 02:49, 2 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Things to chase down edit

Adding notes on odd leads that should be further researched, though they may be dead ends: Kanrom was to produce Henny Youngman's invention of a 13-inch ruler and Lenny Bruce's first book. (I'm fairly certain the latter never appeared fro Kanrom -- it was likely Stamp Help Out!, which Bruce self-published in '62.) Also, may want to find his birth name this suggests it was Kamin. --Nat Gertler (talk) 03:27, 2 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
