GA Review edit

I'm sorry to inform the editors of this article that I am quickfailing it due to the large number of citation needed tags throughout the article. Here are some other suggestions for improvement:

  • Obviously, find sources for all the citation needed tags.
  • Per WP:LEAD, the lead should be about three full paragraphs summarizing all the main points of the article prose.
  • All the subsections in "Awards and honors" are quite small. I'd remove the subheaders and just leave the four paragraphs.
  • All the quotes need citations.
  • The article needs some pretty heavy copyediting, especially when it comes to dash usage. See WP:DASH for when to use what kind of dash.
  • Why is there a quote section? Quotes go on WikiQuote and very important quotes can be merged into the rest of the article.
  • The web references need to be formatted with Template:cite web.

Please fix all of this before renomination. Also, it took so long for this to be reviewed because the nominator put an "on hold" tag under the nomination. Only reviewers are supposed to be that tag (and only after a review has actually taken place). It took 32 days for someone to notice that the article had not been properly reviewed, as the bot read the "on hold" tag as if someone had. Thanks. Nikki311 02:33, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
