The Cleveland tournament edit

Jack March managed a tournament in Cleveland from 1950 to 1964 (and not 1955 to 1962 as previously suggested) and he called it pompously the "World professional Championships". It was more or less considered as the US Pro championships from 1953 to 1962 though in reality there was no official US Pro Champs at all during these years and in World Tennis magazines this tournament was never called "US Pro Champs" but "P.O.C. World Pro Championships" in the first years and "xxxx" "World Pro Championships" in the last years with "xxxx" varying along the years (for instance in 1962 "xxxx" = "Pepsi-Cola" so "The Pepsi-Cola World Pro Championships") Carlo Colussi (talk) 10:13, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
