The result of the debate was NO CONSENSUS to move page to suggested title. I have, however, turned the proposed target into a disambiguation page, per discussion below. -GTBacchus(talk) 00:18, 20 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Jack Dawson(rugby league player)Jack Dawson — Current Jack Dawson article redirects to the middle of a list about fictional characters in a movie. It's more relevant to have the rugby player's article be the primary link with a disambig notice on it —Wafulz 03:30, 14 February 2007 (UTC) -Moved from uncontroversial by SigPig |SEND - OVER 12:27, 14 February 2007 (UTC) Reply

  1. Strong Oppose. The Titanic character seems to be the primary usage, or is at least more likely to be searched for than the rugby player of the 1920s. However, since he doesn't seem notable enough to warrant his own article, I would not oppose making Jack Dawson a dab page; there's also a character in a Dean Koontz novel and a mayor of Portland, among others. --SigPig |SEND - OVER 12:37, 14 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
  2. Oppose, the Titanic character is arguably more important and is surely the most common usage. As with SigPig, I wouldn't mind a dab page located here. Voretus 20:00, 14 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
  3. Strong oppose — The Titanic character is the most notable.--Endroit 05:21, 15 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
  4. Oppose Although I wouldn't mind Jack Dawson being a disambig page. TJ Spyke 09:16, 15 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Eastern Suburbs, Balmain, and… Hull?

edit

A player named Jack Dawson played for Hull [1][2] between 1932 and 1942, is this the same person as the Australian player Jack Dawson (Eastern Suburbs, and Balmain)?. Best regards DynamoDegsy (talk) 16:12, 26 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
