User Daviesdll changed my original wording that "the KUGB resigned from the JKA" to "the KUGB became independent". This aside is much better served on the KUGB page; however to conclude the point, on that page it states that the KUGB withdrew so I think that's pretty much a resignation from the parent organisation.
