Talk show format edit

I heard some time ago that Jo Soares was a friend (or acquaintance) of David Letterman, and that he had copied the usual american talk show format (city backdrop, desk, band, band leader, couch) for his brazilian broadcast, but that using a mug to drink during the show was his "invention", and because of his relationship with Letterman, is was copied by the american host, and then copied from him by other hosts (Leno, Kimmel, O'Brien). Is there any truth to this? Thanks... Quase 04:41, 10 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
