Pozsony edit

Could you please stop reverting and replacing the name Pressburg with Pozsony? It is at odds with WP:NCGN (English historical name is Pressburg) and it is also an utter anachronism, as at the time, the official name was Posonium only and even the actual Magyar version was different (Poson at best). Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wladthemlat (talkcontribs) 10:54, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Posonium is the latinized version of the Hungarian Poson. Same roots.--B@xter9 15:35, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
So? Does it mean Poszony is the proper English name? Besides, the origin of the name is actually disputed, Poson is only one of the versions. You have made no case there.  wlad 15:49, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Who said that Pozsony (not Poszony) is the best? (ps: Than why dont you add Posonium?)--B@xter9 15:59, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Nmate obviously thinks so.
To the second point - simply because this is an English encyclopaedia and WP:NCGN isn't there for nothing. But if Posonium is ok, then yes, I can add it. But mind you, that then all the names from the pre-1867 era should be translated.
And yes, I've made a typo, sue me.  wlad 16:04, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
I have nothing against Pressburg, I only asked it because you mentioned it. Nobody wants to sue you. It was just a remark because someone in the past searched for references and he used PoSZony instead of PoZSony and of course he found nothing. :) Thats all. --B@xter9 16:10, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
This discussion is mainly for Nmate, who is remarkably persistent in his ill-minded effort.
I would lie, if I said that I am always sure how to spell it ;) but I'm learning.  wlad 16:18, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
