Birth and death details? edit

@BD2412:@Dunks58: - Sources at Ancestry.com suggest that Ivan Howard Dayman was born in Adelaide on 20 July 1920, and died in Perth on 1 October 1989. The birth details are confirmed here. The place of birth, and place of death, match those on this site. I'm reluctant to include those details in the article as they may, potentially, relate to a different person of similar name. (The "M" middle initial mentioned in the article could easily have come from someone's misreading of "H".) However, the information may serve as a pointer to others who want to research this person's life further. Ghmyrtle (talk) 15:21, 7 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

@BD2412:@Dunks58:@Ghmyrtle: – Further to the above, a funeral notice in The Advertiser for Ivan Howard Dayman on 5/10/1989.here "H" as likely middle initial of the music promoter.here.–shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 00:31, 6 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
I can't see any authority for the "M"; it was added by an IP, fairly recently. bd2412 T 00:53, 6 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
As the newspaper notice seems to confirm the other details, I've now added the death date to the article, but I won't object if it's removed. Ghmyrtle (talk) 10:22, 6 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
I agree.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 23:19, 6 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Daughter was an Olympic swimmer? edit

According to this, his daughter, Marlene Dayman, was a 14-year-old backstroke swimmer in 1964. Probably same as Marlene Dayman who finished 6th in heat 3 at Tokyo.here. Apparently she was banned from swimming (for three years), at the same time as Dawn Fraser, by the Australian Swimming Union.here. Are these sources sufficiently reliable to add this information to the two articles?shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 01:06, 6 December 2017 (UTC)02:39, 6 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Yes, as these will not be particularly contentious items. bd2412 T 01:11, 6 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
