Alphonse Mucha edit

Some people have commented on the similarity between Bilibin's art and Mucha's. While both worked in the Slavic style, I can find no actual connection (I don't believe Mucha ever saw Bilibin's works), but they use many similar techniques... Should we make a mention? Proposed merge with Iwan Jakowlewitsch Bilibin edit

Articles are about the same person. Danrok (talk) 16:25, 10 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Definitely merge edit

The "Iwan" Bilibin article was obviously taken from German Wikipedia. Whatever original information it may contain should be transferred to "Ivan" Bilibin. (I may do it myself, if everybody agrees) WQUlrich (talk) 18:08, 29 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Completely agree to the merge, didn't notice the existing article so copied the information from the German wiki. I'll see if there's anything extra to add to the original article. Desdinova (talk) 07:37, 11 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
Thank you! The "Iwan" article has been turned into a redirect. I left the original text there (blanked) just for the record in case. WQUlrich (talk) 19:00, 18 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

E. S. Pits-Bilibina edit

We have a portrait of E. S. Pits-Bilibina, but I don't see how she relates to Ivan Bilibin. She is not one of his three listed wives. The German WP lists his mother as Varvara Alexandrovna. The portrait is undated. J S Ayer (talk) 13:19, 5 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

She is not mentioned in the Russian article on Bilibin, nor in that on Somov. I am tempted to yank it. J S Ayer (talk) 21:25, 7 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Removed it. J S Ayer (talk) 19:50, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
