Acquisition and latest revenue
editThis edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hello, I'm here from Iteris to ask for some edits to this page to reflect a recent acquisition, the latest revenue figure and, if possible, include another executive in the "infobox". As I do have a conflict of interest, as an employee and representative of the company, I am making this request rather than editing the page. Can Wikipedia editors please review the following and make these edits if they meet the guidelines?
1. Can our CFO, Douglas Groves, be added to the list of Key people?:
2. Can our latest revenue be added throughout the page, replacing the 2020 figure? Below I've listed the areas where the 2021 figure can be added and provided the citation, which has been updated with the new 10-K link and date.
- In the "infobox":
- Revenue: $117.1 million[2]
- Revenue year: 2021
- At the end of the introduction:
- Iteris reported revenue of $117.1 million in fiscal year 2021, ending March 31.
- At the end of the History:
- In mid-2021, Iteris reported revenue of $117.1 million for the previous fiscal year, ending March 31.[2]
3. In December, we acquired a new company that expanded Iteris' services and technology. Can this be added to the article in two spots?
- For the end of the History:
- At the end of the Traffic and transportation section:
@Chetsford: I can see from past discussions that you have been willing to review requests here, so if there's any chance you can look at this, I'd be most appreciative. Grateful for any assistance with these updates. Best, David Sadeghi at Iteris, Inc. (talk) 23:27, 8 June 2021 (UTC)

Services and products
editThis edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hello, this is a second request to ask for some more edits to this page around the company's services and products. As disclosed above: I do have a conflict of interest, as an employee and representative of Iteris, and I am making this request rather than editing the page. Can Wikipedia editors please review the following and make these edits if they meet the guidelines?
1. Can the following be added to the list of Products in the "infobox"? This is based on the new acquisition listed in my previous request:
2. Can the following changes be made to the list of Services in the infobox?
- Remove: vehicle-to-infrastructure communications
- Add: Advanced traveller information systems, transportation planning and Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications
- Change: connected vehicles and automated vehicles to connected vehicle enablement and automated vehicle enablement
- This change is because Iteris solutions and services enable these two technologies but Iteris does not provide the technologies themselves
3. Can these changes be made to the introductory paragraph of the Products and services section? This better explains our mix of services and products, and what they do, including the services and products from the new acquisition. The changes add mention of the hardware that Iteris provides, and that we now have private sector clients as well as public sector.
- Text now: Iteris provides software and consulting services for smart mobility infrastructure management,[1] including software as a service, managed services, and advisory services,[2] and produces sensors and other devices that record and predict traffic conditions, in conjunction with proprietary data analysis software.[3][4] Road and traffic data collected and analyzed by the company help clients enhance transportation services.[5]
- Proposed text: Iteris provides hardware, software, and consulting services for smart mobility infrastructure management.[2][1] Specific products include ClearGuide (software as a service for transportation analytics),[6] VantageCare (a cloud-enabled managed service),[7], and ClearMobility Cloud (an open-architecture cloud framework that facilitates access to Iteris’s other hardware and software).[8] The company also produces sensors and other devices that record and predict traffic conditions, in conjunction with proprietary data analysis software.[3][4] Road and traffic data collected and analyzed by Iteris help its public sector clients with efforts to improve safety in transportation networks (for example by helping public transportation agencies understand traffic volumes and trends to improve timing for traffic signals)[5][7] and its private sector clients with traffic analytics and reports to share with drivers.[9][8]
3. Likewise, can the introduction be edited slightly to mention hardware and adjust other details to match the updated Products and services?
- Text now:Iteris Inc. is an American company based in Santa Ana, California that provides software and consulting services for smart mobility infrastructure management, including software as a service as well as managed and advisory services, and produces sensors and other devices that record and predict traffic conditions.
- Proposed text: Iteris Inc. is an American company based in Santa Ana, California that provides software, hardware and services for smart mobility infrastructure management, including software as a service, cloud-enabled managed services, consulting and advisory services, and sensors and other devices that record and predict traffic conditions.
4. Finally, there has been coverage of the use of the company's transportation analytics software by Minnesota. Can this be added to the Traffic and transportation section?
- The state of Minnesota uses Iteris’ cloud framework to integrate its Intelligent Roadway Information System with ClearGuide, Iteris’ transportation analytics software as a service.[7][10]
Again, I am grateful for any assistance with these updates. Best, David Sadeghi at Iteris, Inc. (talk) 16:49, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
- I just implemented everything you requested, with the exception of the last sentence in 3, as it felt uncomfortably WP:PROMO. Thanks for your advice! Yitz (talk) 04:43, 14 December 2021 (UTC)

Revenue and headquarters update
editAn impartial editor has reviewed the proposed edit(s) and asked the editor with a conflict of interest to go ahead and make the suggested changes. |
Hello, following in the footsteps of my former colleague, I'm here from Iteris to ask editors to review some small edits to update basic revenue and headquarters information and fix a reference. Can Wikipedia editors please review and make the following edits if acceptable?
1. In the Key people, the CFO has been updated to our new CFO, Kerry Shiba but the citation is an old one that was used to verify the previous CFO. The latest company 10-K SEC filing confirms Kerry Shiba as CFO, can this be added to replace the citation appearing after her name in the infobox?:
- <ref name="10k2023CFO">{{cite web |title=Iteris Form 10-K 2023 |url=https://iterisinc.gcs-web.com/node/18146/html |publisher=[[U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission]] |accessdate=September 25, 2023 |page=75}}</ref>
2. Can the headquarters location in the infobox be updated to reflect the new headquarters in Austin?
3. Likewise, can the "Short description" on the page be changed to note that the company is based in Austin, not Santa Ana? I.e. change the short description:
- From: American company based in Santa Ana, California
- To: American company based in Austin, Texas
4. Can the company's latest revenue be updated throughout the page, replacing the 2021 figure? There are three places where the revenue is currently included and can be updated as follows:
- In the "infobox":
- Revenue: $156.1 million[2]
- Revenue year: 2023
- At the end of the introduction:
- $156.1 million in fiscal year 2023, ending March 31.
- At the end of the History:
- In mid 2023, Iteris reported revenue of $156.1 million for the previous fiscal year, ending March 31.[2]
Thanks to anyone who is willing to review!
