Article focus?

edit

Is this article about the North-American sausage called "Italian sausage" (as indicated by the first section of the article) or is it about types of sausages found in Italy (as indicated by the Infobox)? If it's both, the article prose should include more than just an incredibly generic "history of the sausage" when referring to Italy. If it's just about the North-American sausage (and actual sausages from Italy get their own article, such as Bardiccio and Zampina) then the Infobox should be updated to reflect that, and the history section either removed or updated to talk about the history of the North-American Italian Sausage. --Ahecht (TALK

Split the sausages from Italy into a separate article

edit

This article was originally about an American sausage called "Italian sausage". It has now been converted into an article about sausages from Italy, with the original article reduced to a single section at the bottom. These are separate topics and should have separate articles. I propose splitting the content about sausages from Italy into an article titled Sausages in Italian cuisine or something to that effect, and then having a hatnote here linking to that article.
