Abbot Battleme??

edit

Yesterday and today I did some minor linguistic tidying up. However, I'm baffled by the reference to Abbot Battleme. Is it a reference to one Abbé Bartholemew or is it an inexpert literal translation of a foreign compound name? Was the man concerned actually an abbot (head of an abbey) - in which case the notion of him watching movies at all is odd - or was he simply a parish priest - or what?
