Hi,I would just like to suggest maybe adding some sort of picture of Isabella or perhaps of one of her books. Perhaps some info about her early life would be useful if it is available.ColeAnglin (talk) 05:31, 3 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Going to be making some edits to the page for my history of science class. I am fairly new to wikipedia editing so any help is appreciated.ColeAnglin (talk) 01:39, 13 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

The new sections, information, and especially the references are great! Of particular note the whole section The Secrets of Lady Isabella Cortese was an extremely important addition. The introduction could use a little more work. Small issue, the reference Gilleir, Montoya and van Dijk. p. 142. is showing an error. Jomoakin (talk) 01:20, 31 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Does this article require a rewrite?

edit

Although well researched this article seems to be too long, filled with topic irrelevant sections in a biography. I would suggest splitting it into two different articles, one focused on the author and their place in Italy science at the time, and one focused on the book in question and its reception. In this form it resembles an essay and not a Wiki biographical entry for a historical figure, especially the 2 sections titled "16th-century Italian science culture" "and Women in science in the 16th century". Such general topic seem completely out of place. Kkupus (talk) 19:53, 2 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
