I merged Jean Godin des Odonais and Isabela Godin des Odonais to form this article, as the main (only?) reason for their notability (their separation and Isabel's journey) would have to be largely duplicated across two separate articles, or else one article would have been a stub. Individual categories have be put in the redirect articles, e.g. the redirect Isabel Godin des Odonais is in the 1728 births category. Jihg15:43, 27 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

This couple was and continues to be notable. The article is part of several Wikiprojects, and the page has references in the form of three fairly recent books. The person who placed the speedy deletion tag should first appear here on the talk page and make any proposals. Since this article was not speedily created, it deserves a fair hearing. Drive-by tagging such as this is not helpful to discussion. --Wloveral (talk) 18:02, 5 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
