Career stats table

edit

The 'other' column is standard per MOS and should remain. GiantSnowman 22:04, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

It is standard practice per the MOS to not include inappropriate columns. He has not played in any Other competition therefore there is no need for an Other column. Rupert1904 (talk) 22:09, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
It is not an 'inappropriate' column though. GiantSnowman 22:14, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
It is an inappropriate column. He has never featured in an Other competition so the column has no place in his stats table. It's the same reason why State league or Continental would be inappropriate for him. Until he features in a super cup, EFL Trophy, promotion or relegation play-offs, etc., it is inappropriate. Rupert1904 (talk) 22:17, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
But he has appeared in leagues that have an 'Other' to them, and therefore having a column present but blank is important information to the reader - the same cannot be said of State leagues etc. GiantSnowman 18:28, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
No he hasn't. Cardiff has never played in an 'Other' competition while he has been at the club so it is an inappropriate column. It is not important and if anything, is misleading to the reader. Rupert1904 (talk) 15:28, 9 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
I didn't say that Cardiff had played in an 'other' did I? And how is it misleading? It shows zero appearances in 'Other'. GiantSnowman 18:32, 9 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
So since Cardiff have not played in an 'other' competition, it is inappropriate then. What is unclear about that? Rupert1904 (talk) 09:50, 11 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
No, but it was possible for them to do so, so the column should remain. GiantSnowman 11:46, 11 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
No that's ridiculous. It's also possible for them to play in Europe if they won a cup but we don't add that column in either. It's the same reason why other columns aren't included in mid table EPL players who never play for a club that feature in the FA Community Shield. The Other column is inappropriate until he plays in an Other tournament. Rupert1904 (talk) 21:06, 11 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
No, it's not, it's in the MOS, and you have zero support for your removal. GiantSnowman 19:57, 19 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
