Harris 2006 edit
Professor J. R. Harris supervised a doctoral thesis on John Wilkinson, unfortunately not completed due to the student's death. His ODNB article reflects the revisionary discoveries of his student, and is thus to be preferred in some respect to older works. However the section on Little Clifton and Backbarrow is not correct.
