What?

What is this intended to convey, "The hysterically laughing Asimov was led out of the room then."

It isn't quite a meaningful sentence, as I'm sure you'll agree, good reader. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.144.64.89 (talk) 17:59, 15 September 2013 (UTC)

I am a good reader, but I do not agree with the good poster above. I find that sentence clear and meaningful. Not to say that it can't be improved, but I see no reason to remove it, at least. Debresser (talk) 18:55, 15 September 2013 (UTC)

Jewish descent

Some editors have suddenly and recently tried to add Asimov to Category:People of Jewish descent. That should not be done, since Asimov is actually more than that: he is Jewish. He is in Category:Jewish American writers, Category:American people of Russian-Jewish descent, Category:Jewish atheists, Category:Russian Jews, Category:Jewish American novelists and Category:Jewish skeptics. So "Jewish descent" is the lesser claim and superfluous. Debresser (talk) 01:20, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

I misread the categories. Category:American people of Russian-Jewish descent is certainly a subcategory of Category:People of Jewish descent, and hence the latter shouldn't be in the article. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 01:40, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

Planets For Man

Why is Planets For Man listed in the infobox as one of his most notable works? Richard75 (talk) 13:53, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

Since no one has answered, I have removed it and substituted two novels for which Asimov won Hugo and Nebula awards. The Planets for Man article is only a redirect page, and before it became a redirect all it said was this. It should never have been in the infobox in the first place. Richard75 (talk) 20:14, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
(Attn User:Richard75) Belatedly, I agree with this change. Newyorkbrad (talk) 23:58, 25 March 2014 (UTC)

Additional picture

This article is missing a picture of Asimov in his later years, with his distinctive sideburns. Debresser (talk) 17:49, 19 October 2013 (UTC)

I concur with this -- the article goes so far as to reference his 'trademark' mutton-chops, which are wholly disjoint from the current depiction of his younger self. Sskoog (talk) 05:23, 6 February 2014 (UTC)

Good Article Nomination Credentials

This article and author have all the makings of becoming a good article. What would some ways to clean it up so as to allow nomination? I have yet to see any attention banners, other than three citation needed bumpers and the banner over Film and Television appearances. Any help would be appreciated.
