Puddler edit
Wikipedia only has “iron puddler” as a term, which is a person who melts down metal, but tonight through family records from the Australian gold fields it seems a puddler was:
Puddler: somebody who operated a “puddler”, where a horse would wind a grinder to crush clay to extract gold; the gold would fall to the bottom, and then gold panners would try for the gold.
As an amateur contributor not sure how this works, but humbly wash one shell upon Wikipedia ‘s beach. Kit Fennessy (talk) 12:52, 20 May 2019 (UTC)
