Ethnicity debate

She is NOT WHITE. Anyone know what race she is? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ericg33 (talkcontribs) 08:41, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
She is Tatar
Her dad was Muslim Tatar. Hence the dark complexion.
You define what race Tatar belongs to, then we can talk. Don't forget she is still half-white, her mom is enthic Russian/Slavic. 50.99.77.17 (talk) 04:53, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
She IS WHITE, lol. Tatars are 75% slavs-finno-ugric by blood after ages of assimilation, plus her mother is russian. Also she looks like average white russian girl. Nurmela (talk) 11:16, 29 June 2013 (UTC)

Islam

I'm actually surprised no one asked this before, but is Irina Shayk a muslima? I ask because her father is a Tatar and they tend to be muslims. On the other hand she is a fashion model; and althought also muslima could be one, it's still something unusual. So, does any one know and has a source? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.35.40.136 (talk) 15:01, 1 May 2011 (UTC) her last name means a scholar of Islam lol. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.247.154.84 (talk) 10:35, 26 July 2011 (UTC) She is orthodox Christian, as is her mother. Still she acts like non-religious, I must say. Nurmela (talk) 11:40, 29 June 2013 (UTC)

Birthplace

Source "«Yeshlek» magazine (Ufa) from 2010-07-03" is not reliable, as it can't be verified. There is no online version of this "magazine" [1] which will state anything about birthplace. It is a small local magazine (with 20k circulation). The official site says ( http://www.theirinashayk.com/ -> Media -> Personal ) "in a small town called Emanzhelisk". So I will revert edits by User:Puyol1. `a5b (talk) 00:42, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

A source does not have to be online to be verifiable, nor does it matter if the circulation is small, only that they have a good reputation for checking facts mark nutley (talk) 17:27, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
It is very small newspaper in rare language. Almost nobody even in ru wikipedia can verify (read) even the article itself. `a5b (talk) 17:56, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
Well her offical site gives a birthplace the nthat can be used as it is good for her own words, is it her who actually runs the site or a fan? mark nutley (talk) 18:01, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
I think not she and not fans. Her agency does. `a5b (talk)

million looks

Any website which has this disclaimer on it Disclaimer: MillionLooks is a celebrity oriented site which publishes opinion based on rumor, conjecture and factual information. Postings on this site may have errors and inaccurate information. The contemplations here may not contain the truth. However the information is carefully selected. is not suitable for a BLP mark nutley (talk) 18:07, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

This seems to be a copy of [2]. Also, this can be a text from official site (I can't view flash sites at the moment) `a5b (talk) 18:10, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

Ronaldo

[3] This is gossip and adds nothing to this BLP. Why is it continually inserted? mark nutley (talk) 10:47, 27 September 2010 (UTC)

As a confirmed and well-publicized relationship, with the statement in the article reliably sourced, it belongs. Dismissing it as "gossip" is weak. Source after source even defines Shayk through this relationship (just look at the title of the source I used). And if the info is being continually inserted by different editors, then there is clearly a belief that the info is valid. Through all your removals though, I didn't object because of the lack of sourcing. This time it's sourced, so unless you have a Wiki policy that clearly says mentioning verifiable celebrity boyfriends is not allowed, please stop removing sourced content from the article because you alone disagree.  Mbinebri  talk ← 14:24, 27 September 2010 (UTC)

Plastic surgery?

I was wondering about her nose and breasts. I presume it is a legitimate topic, especially for any models. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.85.14.106 (talk) 20:16, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

Shayk

nonsense. Чому українське "Shayk"? Шайхлисламова )) чому людей сотень національностей РФ називають одним словом - "руссие" (як раніше "советские")?? от так от і роблять татар і українців "братами -слов'янами".

Why Ukrainian "Shayk"?

Shaykhlislamova)) Why people hundreds of nationalities of Russian Federation called in one word - "Russian" (as in the former "Soviet")?? this is akin to calling Pakistan-> England because they were once in the same empire,or French the Germans because of the country - the neighbors. sorry

Full name

Her full name (by birth) Ирина Валерьевна Шайхлисламова, Irina Valerievna Shaykhlislamova! In Russia, children receive a second name, from the name of the father. Her father was Valeriy, so her second name is VALERIevna. Add this in article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.210.62.87 (talk) 13:51, 21 June 2012 (UTC)

Shes Irina, not Irena! It is absolutely another name! unreliable source!

==Country of Birth

Irina Shayk was born in the USSR. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:E000:2340:400:745B:27DD:511F:96F8 (talk) 16:19, 12 July 2016 (UTC)

Alleged pregnancy

Irina Shayk nor Bradley Cooper nor their representatives have confirmed that she is pregnant. I believe any reference to it should be removed until there is proof. Just because a magazine such as people gets a photo of her in a sweater and carrying a stuffed animal in front of her doesn't equal a baby bump--especially not this far along.Trillfendi (talk) 22:23, 1 March 2017 (UTC)
