Iraq v Jordan edit

Hi @Faycal.09:, please stop changing the page back to Iraq v Libya. Iraq v Libya was not the last match, it was the penultimate match. See the dates here. Iraq won the tournament beating Jordan 3-1 in the last match. This is confirmed by the newspaper The Iraq Times which was publishing news about the championship at the time, see here. The specialist Iraq archive site NIIIIS also confirms the last match was with Jordan here. RSSSF's details are wrong, you will see they are even missing dates and scorers from the championship, and Kooora takes their details direct from RSSSF. In fact as I have researched more about Iraqi football over the years I find RSSSF is full of wrong or missing information about Iraq. The newspaper article and Iraqi archive website have the correct details. Pinging @Nehme1499: for attention. Thanks, Hashim-afc (talk) 08:50, 29 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Faycal.09 and Hashim-afc: In my opinion, both this article and Lebanon v Tunisia (1963 Arab Cup) should be deleted. There is only routine coverage (scorers, partial line-ups), and it's not up to us to decide whether a match was a de facto final or not. It's a bit like saying that we should create an article for Juventus' last games in the past 9 seasons, because they were the deciding games of the Serie A titles. In the end, these two Arab Cups were held in a round-robin format, and it doesn't make sense to have "final" articles (unless something really notable happened in the game, but it doesn't seem to be the case). In 1963, Lebanon finished third, whereas here Jordan finished last, and the game against Iraq wasn't the last one of the competition. A different situation would be if the 1st and 2nd placed teams were tied on points, and a play-off game was played. Nehme1499 17:51, 29 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Nehme1499: I agree with you on that actually, the article is not really needed. Hashim-afc (talk) 20:41, 29 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
