This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because <the Iraqi Institute for Strategic Studies represents a research and training institution looking to improve the lives of Iraqi citizens. It partners with UNESCO, IDRC, IHEU-HIVOS, among others, to that end. I have cited several articles where the Director, well-renowned Iraqi scholar Dr. Faleh A Jabar, is quoted. The website is currently under construction and should be up and running next week - for that reason this wikipedia page is necessary for diseminating information about the institute. Please let me know why IIST, which is a register charity headquartered in Beirut with offices in Baghdad and Najaf, is deemed not significant for wikipedia, and I may be able to provide additional information to support its importance. Thank you>. — 109.236.145.210 (talk) 08:23, 21 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
