"this three part series seeks to dispel this popular myth" edit

Which popular myth? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.112.44.3 (talk) 09:44, 22 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

@HighKing: Not sure if you remember adding this way back in 2008, but do you recall what the myth is that you referred to in this edit: Special:Diff/228366216? I was confused as well. -2pou (talk) 18:24, 3 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
2pou, well that makes a lot of sense? That particular description appears to be distilled from the book "Invasion: Defending Britain from attack" which makes the point that "For hundreds of years Britain has been portrayed as an island fortress, impregnable since 1066, a self-sufficient nation protected by the sea around it. By exploring the fortresses and defensive structures of coastal Britain, Dan Cruickshank in the BBC series "Invasion" seeks to dispel this popular myth and provide an argument that Britain is a nation whose history is instead defined by the fear of invasion."
